He has spent over 30 years in a wide range of roles with British Steel/Corus plc, including a period in charge of all procurement which covered among other things, all raw materials, alloys and metals for carbon and stainless steelmaking. He retired from the position of Chief Executive of Corus in 2003.
Tony retains a very active involvement in the industry today as Chairman of Sheffield Forgemasters and a non-executive director of the Indian steelmaker, JSW Steel Ltd. He is also a director of a number of other organisations.
Tony joined HCF as a senior adviser in 2005 and joined the Board in 2006.
He is a graduate of London University with a BSc in Mathematics and an MSc in Management Studies.
